Cosmetic Modifications

Purpose

Although I divulged many hours into performance and exhaust modifications, I took a great liking to creating a sportier look for my car. This turned into many hours of work throughout the weekends: deleting chrome, sanding and painting, and even some vinyl work.

Sanding and Painting Rims/Brake Calipers

My favorite and most time-consuming project I've done to this date. I spent the better part of an entire spring break working on my car. Taking off all the wheels and calipers, sanding them down for hours, applying primer, paint, and gloss to the surfaces with spray cans. This project completely changed the look of the car and started a whole world of cosmetic projects.

Tinted Taillights and Headlights

In this project, I tinted both my taillights and headlights using spray tint. By covering up exposed sections with film and painters tape, I was able to create a dark tint on the glass of the lights providing a sportier night look.

Chrome Deletes

I deleted much of the chrome in my car, from the window trim, bumper trim, and even the iconic kidney grills. This added to the sporty vibe with many darkened pieces.

Front Diffuser

This mod gave the most aggressive and sporty look to the car, a front diffuser install. With a couple well placed drill holes and some awkward reach angles, I installed the front diffuser to the bottom of the bumper.
